The name

Why a wasps' nest

A vespiary is a wasps' nest. Wasps don't find one ready-made; they build it themselves, together, and then work out of it. We're borrowing that as a metaphor.

Your vespiary is the group of people you put together here, one person at a time, from others who share your model of reality. We help you find them, but the building is yours. Some conversations only work once the basics are shared: you can't really dig into what humans evolved to eat with someone who doubts evolution. Inside your vespiary those premises are settled, so you can explore further and go deeper together.

Then see the shape of your group.

Save the people who think like you, and the site maps the ground you share. That map is what you explore with.

Settled

The premises your group shares. Taken as given, so you don't spend your time re-arguing them.

Live

Where your own people split. These are the open questions, and where the best conversations are.

Whose reality is yours?

See how you line up with thinkers whose positions are on the public record. Every answer is sourced.

Matching uses two lenses: how people think, and what they believe. The whole method, formulas included, is public. Nobody is graded against reality here. The point is finding your people.
